The creation of the Spring Tether was a dream, or better said, a desire of our founder Laura after watching so many horses being tied long with various ropes or leads in order to allow a horse more access to pans, feeders, hay or grass while at a hitching post, trailer, or what have you.  This act of kindness often ended up being more harmful after stepping over, tangling or twisting in the securing line, then pulling back and tightening an already complexed knot in order to release the animal from the danger. Laura sat down with a local manufacturer and explained her idea and set forth the desired goals.  Together they tested several sizes, tensions, strengths, coatings and couplers to make the product that is offered today. Not only to keep the animal safer, but the human that is trying to release a tangled animal.
