Spring Tether SLS LLC is a family-owned and operated business built on a deep love for horses and a desire to make them safer. Our founder, Laura, has devoted her life to raising horses, and her two daughters Shyanne and Shanena share her passion for the equine world. Like many horse owners, Laura noticed horses were often tied long with ropes or leads at hitching posts, trailers, and other tie areas. This gave them more access to pans, feeders, hay, or grass but it also came with risks. Horses could step over, get tangle, or twist up in the tie, and when they pulled back, it tightened knots, making it hard to release them.

20+ years ago with a local manufacturer, Laura began testing different sizes, tensions, strengths, coatings, and snaps to create a product that would give horses the freedom to move while keeping them safer. The result is the Original Spring Tether a simple idea born from real experience and a genuine love for horses.
